Lynelmane, more commonly known as Lyne, has been gaming for as long as she can remember. The oldest game system that she still owns is a Nintendo DS Lite. The moment she was old enough, Lyne created her Steam account on her mom’s desktop PC, which opened her up to a huge world of games that she had always dreamed of.
She immediately fell in love with zombie games. Her first zombie game was The Last Of Us on the PS3, and she would go on to play the first game through to completion over 10 times by the time she graduated high school. So nobody was more excited than her for The Last Of Us Part II to release.
As for 7 Days To Die, Lyne was introduced to it by an old group of friends in early 2017. The game was gifted to her by one of these friends to play with them and slaughter zombies. At this time, the game was in Alpha 15.2 and was very different from now. For example, you could plant seeds directly into the ground, and log spikes existed in vanilla! Oh, how things change with time.
Lyne, the youngest of the Salty Zombie’s staff
With this group of friends, Lyne played with them for a few weeks before they got busy with their lives, and the group disbanded. Being too scared to play alone, she abandoned the game for a few years. Until she met her boyfriend in high school, who also happened to have the game, she played it with him for a long time, doing 2.5 playthroughs before he got bored of the game and put it down forever. But, Lyne was not ready to put 7 Days away just yet. She remembered about the public servers page that listed all the 7 Days To Die Servers and decided to see if there were any worth joining. Salty Zombies immediately caught her eye.
That day was the best decision she’s made in a long time – it led her to the most welcoming and supportive community she’s ever been a part of. And now, she helps moderate the PvE Casual USA server the most.
As for other games, Lyne is particularly drawn to FPS shooters and team-based games. Her favourites at the moment are Apex Legends, For Honor, and Overwatch. She recently purchased a VR headset and sometimes indulges in games like Boneworks and Job Simulator. If she doesn’t feel like shooting, she likes to unwind with a bit of Sims 4 or Cities: Skylines. The first game she ever reached 1000 hours in is Dead By Daylight.
And in the time she’s not gaming, Lyne spends time with her cat, as well as time with friends getting Japanese food at the same restaurant multiple times per week. (It’s addicting!).
