Salty Zombies has already built strong communities across games like 7 Days to Die, RUST, ARK, Conan, and DayZ. Now we’re bringing that experience into GTA RP — and we’re looking for the original testers who want to help shape it from the ground floor.
We’re not rushing out another copy-paste FiveM server and hoping it sticks. We’re rebuilding core systems so they’re uniquely ours, easier to customise, and built to evolve over time.
Right now, that means testing comes first. We need players who want to help us stress-test the city, improve the balance, and lay the foundations before the official wipe and launch.

Tester Rewards System
We do not just want people logging in and casually playing during testing. We want testers who actively look for problems, report them properly, and help us shape the city before launch.
To reward that effort, we use a Bug Hunter Points System. Instead of every issue being worth the same amount, reports are rewarded based on their seriousness and usefulness.
How Points Work
Minor Bug – 1 Point
A small issue that does not heavily affect gameplay, but is still clearly broken or unintended.
Medium Bug – 2 Points
A noticeable issue that affects a feature, mechanic, or player experience in a meaningful way.
Major Bug – 5 Points
A serious issue that disrupts gameplay, blocks progression, breaks systems, or causes major unintended results.
Critical Bug – 10 Points
A high-impact issue such as an exploit, a duplication method, an economy-breaking loophole, a server-breaking problem, or anything that can be abused.
What counts as a bug?
A bug is something that is broken, unintended, or not working the way it should. This includes things like:
- Scripts not functioning properly
- Jobs, menus, items, or actions failing.
- Incorrect payouts or progression.
- Broken interactions.
- Systems giving unintended results.
- Mechanics that can be abused or exploited.
- Anything that creates errors, blocks gameplay, or breaks immersion in a meaningful way.
All reports are reviewed by the SZ Team. Who decides if the report is: minor, medium, major, or critical. Only approved bug reports will earn points.
What does not count as a bug?
Not every issue will count for Bug Hunter Points. The following usually do not count:
- Small wording issues like spelling or grammar.
- Suggestions for new features
- Balance opinions or personal preferences.
- Duplicate reports of something already submitted.
- Vague reports with no useful evidence or explanation
- Features working as intended, even if you do not like them
Small text errors or cosmetic issues can still be reported and may help us polish the server, but they will not count toward tester rewards unless they are part of a larger issue.

Basic Requirements Checklist
Microphone
To play on this server, you must have a working mic to interact in game
Streamer Rules
Players streaming on Twitch, Kick, YouTube or other streaming service must additionally obey those site’s TOS'
Recording
Body cams (OBS or Medal.tv) must be used at all times.
Naming Conventions
- Your character’s name must be realistic
- Your character’s name cannot break the GTA TOS
- Your character’s name cannot break decency guidelines outlined in this document
- If your name is flagged as inappropriate it will be manually reviewed by staff.
Core Roleplay Rules
Character Separation
You 1 characters by default, subscribers can create multiple characters but each must have a distinct background, personality, and goals.
Sharing items, money, vehicles, or knowledge between your characters is prohibited (no “character bleeding”).
Metagaming
Do not use information acquired out-of-character (OOC) to influence your in-character (IC) actions.
This includes utilizing streams, Discord DMs, server logs, or voice chats to sway IC decisions.
Powergaming
Avoid forcing RP actions without allowing the other party a chance to respond.
Do not exploit unrealistic game mechanics to gain an advantage or perform impossible feats.
Fail RP
Breaking immersion or acting in ways that are unrealistic or inconsistent with your character's world is not allowed.
Examples include ignoring gunshot wounds, sprinting after being tased, or discussing OOC topics without an /ooc tag.
Value of Life
Your character must value their life at all times. For example, if you find yourself at a clear disadvantage (e.g., being held at gunpoint), comply unless you have a justified and believable reason not to.
Fear RP
Demonstrate realistic fear for your character’s safety. For example, do not draw a weapon when directly threatened unless the roleplay context supports it.
Combat Logging
Logging out or disconnecting to evade consequences from active RP (such as arrest, combat, or death) is prohibited. Repeated instances of combat logging may result in suspension or a ban.
Maturity and IC Age Restrictions
All characters IC must be 18 years of age or older in their background.
All Player must exhibit the maturity to follow the established rules laid out in this guideline. Failure to maintain due maturity will result in Failed RP infractions.
The New Player Title
A player who is logging in for the first time is considered to have the New Player title.
A player may surrender the new player title after 24 hours of accrued play time on the server, or 1 week of OOC time up to an accrued time of 72 hours of play time.
Interactions With Others
The Meaning of Consent and Consequences
Consent, as outlined in this document, is the agreement between parties that anything that happens within the agreed upon RP conditions frees all parties from OOC consequences as long as the RP remains IC.
Before a controversial RP begins, there must be an agreed upon safe word. This can be any word that is rules neutral and would not be expected to be stated in the RP. Upon utterance of that word, the RP ends, and all parties are returned to adherence to the normal interaction rules.
If the word is not stated during the RP, no party in the RP or witnesses may ask for OOC consequences for RP that adhered to the agreed upon IC conditions.
Female Friendliness
On this server, we value all of our players, but some rules must be in place to ensure the online safety of our female players.
Cat-calling, harassment and unwanted interaction up to and including threats of violence, physical, emotional or otherwise of female players is not tolerated. Infractions will be assessed on a case by case basis.
OOC threats against female members always result in a Tier 4 infraction.
Respect and Decency
Racism, sexism, homophobia, hate speech, or personal attacks are strictly prohibited, both IC and OOC.
This does include Rage Baiting to attempt to spark tempers and provoke rules breaks from other people.
With IC RP, this prohibition may be waived by a specific RP with prior OOC consent from all involved players.
This includes people in the vicinity of the RP.
e.g.) If you are doing it at Legion, all players at Legion need to have consented to being witnesses to the RP.
This applies to text, voice, actions, and emotes.
Consent-Based RP
Torture, ERP, or psychologically intense RP requires prior OOC consent from all involved players.
This includes people in the vicinity of the RP.e.g.) If you are doing it at Legion, all players at Legion need to have consented to being witnesses to the RP.
If consent is revoked during the scene, the RP must end immediately.
Stream Sniping and Harassment
Using someone’s livestream to gain in-character information or manipulate them is strictly forbidden.
Do not target, stalk, or harass other players OOC.
Crime & Law Enforcement RP
Criminal Roleplay
- Criminal activities must be purposeful, immersive, and consistent with your character’s goals.
- Senseless violence, crime sprees, or provoking law enforcement without reason will be considered Fail RP.
- All hostile interactions, whether robbery or murder, require a 1-minute minimum interaction time, unless all involved parties have agreed to an alternative beforehand.
Police RP
- Law enforcement officers must act professionally and in accordance with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Use of force should follow a reasonable escalation of threats.
Hostage Situations
- Hostages must be real, consenting players—not NPCs or alternate characters.
- There must be a clear purpose, with well-developed RP intent and proper escalation.
EMS RP
- Players must respect medical RP scenarios and allow medics to perform their duties.
- Self-reviving, skipping injury RP, or disrespecting EMS services is not permitted.

Vehicle and Driving RP
Realistic Driving
- Follow traffic laws when appropriate.
- Reckless driving, frequent accidents, and treating vehicles as indestructible are considered Fail RP.
Vehicle Theft and Chop Shops
- Stealing emergency or government vehicles is only permitted with high-level planning and RP justification.
- Chop Shop RP must involve more than simply driving to a location and pressing a button.
Economy and Item Use
Grinding and Farming
- Avoid robotic, repetitive behaviour that disregards immersion or story development.
- You are expected to roleplay your job or means of income.
Scamming and Robbery
- Scamming others is allowed if it is in-character, makes sense for your character, and does not target new players.
- Robberies must adhere to cooldowns and escalation rules outlined in server policy.
Property and Business Ownership
Property Limits
You may only own one residence per character unless approved by staff.
Properties must be actively used; inactivity beyond two months may result in revocation.
Business Ownership
Owning a business is a privilege, and you are expected to run it realistically and engage the community.
Staff may audit or revoke unused or inactive businesses.
Your business must host at least 1 RP event per month.
Staff Ownership Limits
At any given time, no more than 50% of the player-owned businesses of any specific type may be owned by staff members at the time of purchase.
For example, if there are 12 player-owned restaurants, a maximum of 6 may be owned by staff. If there are 4 mechanic shops, no more than 2 may be staff-owned.
We will not request business owners who become staff AFTER being a business owner to retire from their business.
Content Creator Guidelines
Streamers and Video Creators
Must follow all server rules without exception.
Do not create drama or RP events solely for views.
No OOC Stream Commentary
Remain in character while streaming. Use push-to-talk or OOC text to communicate with viewers.
Coordinating in-game actions through your chat is considered metagaming.
Technical Rules
Exploits and Glitches
Any form of exploiting bugs or unintended mechanics is strictly forbidden.
Report any bugs to staff immediately.
Modding, Cheating, and Third-Party Tools.
Any external program that provides an unfair advantage (aimbots, ESP, macros, etc.) will result in a permanent ban.

How Joining Works
The Salty Zombies FiveM RP Servers are not a whitelisted city. However, we do require acceptance of our rules via a Discord Reaction to gain access. Process: Join our Discord server, go to the GTA Discord Auth channel, read the rules and react to the message to confirm acceptance.
Install GTA 5 Legacy
Purchase GTA V Legacy on Steam and make sure it’s fully installed and launched at least once so it’s properly linked or set up to your Rockstar account.
Install FiveM Launcher
Download and install the FiveM launcher, sign in with your Rockstar Social Club account, and let FiveM verify your GTA V installation automatically.
Join Our Fivem Server
Launch FiveM, search for Salty Zombies, or click on the button below. You can also connect manually by pressing F8 on the FiveM launcher.

Getting Started
You’ll begin your journey at SZ International Airport. After your flight, you’ll head into the Character Creator. Here, you can customise your Ped’s (short for pedestrian) hair, face, clothes, and body style. Create the look that best fits your character’s backstory. Save your ped when you’re happy, this will be the identity you live through in the city.
Tip: Take your time here! First impressions matter in RP, and your ped is the first thing others see.
Once you are satisfied with the way you look, head out of the airport, and from here, the world is your oyster. From the airport, we recommend you head to the Work Center, which is located inside the City Hall. You can travel around the city via the Subway, Buses, or call a Taxi by using the /taxi command.
Making Money In Our FiveM RP Server
You’ll need cash to survive on any FiveM RP Server, and there are plenty of ways to do it. You start off with $5,000 in cash and $10,000 in your bank. Every 10 minutes, you will receive an unemployment cheque of $100. If that isn't enough for you, then here are your starting options

Take on simple, entry-level jobs to quickly build funds.
Fishing
In Five RP, fishing isn’t just a pastime. It’s an experience. Spend your morning by the calm waters of the lake or venture out into the vast ocean, where every cast of the line could bring in something exciting. From fresh fish to rare sea creatures, your catch has real value in the city, with local restaurants eager to buy what you reel in. It’s a peaceful escape from the city rush, and a rewarding way to make your mark.
Mystery Persons
Look for NPCs with a question mark above their head. They offer quick side tasks that pay small amounts. To interact with them, hold the Left Alt Key to bring up the 3rd eye and hover it over them to bring up the conversation box.

FiveM RP Server Trouble Shooting
Common FiveM Server Bugs & Their Solutions
FiveM RP Servers have alot of bugs but fortunatly, the most common ones always have a solution. Below we listed the most common FiveM Server bugs that you might experience and the fixes/solutions to resolve them.
Can't See Players
You may have desynced from the player instance or entered a bugged interior. To fix this try relogging first. If that doesn’t work, press F8 in the FiveM launcher to bring up the console and type:
refresh; connect gta.szservers.com
Voice Chat Isn't Working
Make sure your input/output devices are set correctly in FiveM Settings > Voice Chat.
Try toggling voice with N (default push-to-talk).
Check your Windows sound settings. Sometimes mics default to the wrong device. You can also try the in game command /voice to reinitialise your voice settings if supported.
Missing Textures In Buildings
If walls or floors are invisible, buildings appear glitchy, or you're falling through the map. This usually happens when your system runs out of video memory (VRAM). Follow these steps:
- On the fiveM main menu, click the Settings tab.
- Go to Graphics Settings and scroll down to the Extended Texture Budget slider.
- Increase the slider to at least ½ or ¾ of your total GPU memory. Example: If you have a 4GB graphics card, move it to 2GB or 3GB.
- You can also lower other graphics settings, such as Grass Quality, Water Quality, and Reflection Quality, to free up VRAM.
After changing the settings, restart the game for the changes to apply fully. If you're still having issues:
- Close other programs, such as Chrome and Discord overlays.
- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
- Check your system’s free disk space (especially if using integrated graphics or low VRAM).
- If it still occurs, attempt to reset other graphic thresholds to their default values.
Vehicle Recovery
If your car is missing (not in your garage or at the impound):
- Open your phone.
- Go to the Garage App and find your vehicle’s registration plate.
- Use the command: /devoid <Plate>
This will place your vehicle in the Impound for you to collect.
Player Recovery
If you are stuck in a building, wall, or area you shouldn’t be in. Use the command: /unstuck. This will move you to the Airport. If you're dead, this command will not revive you. This can only be done every 15 Minutes.
Do not abuse this command. Staff are monitoring usage.
